If you see this white guy driving down the road while listening to blaring Spanish music, that would be me. It's one of my favorite activities to see everyone's curious looks at this strange gringo listening to blaring accordions. Just so you know. Can't say I didn't warn you.

Oh, and Modest Mouse rocks.
and napoleon dynamite.

this is a prayer that has become central to my life recently.
I know as young adults we can be overwhelmed (i do) by decisions concerning our future. It scares me because I dont want to put myself in a box in the future(this is why i hate choosing a major) by my decisions today. the following prayer was given to me by a wise friend, it has become my prayer, and is changing my life. The author is Trappist monk Thomas Merton.

My Lord God
I have no idea where I'm going
I do not see the road ahead of me
I can't know for certain where it will end.
Nor do I really know myself
And the fact that i think I'm following your will
Does not mean that I am actually doing so
But I believe that the desire to please you
Does, in fact, please you
And I hope that I have that desire in all that I do
I hope I never do anything apart from that desire
And I know that if I do this, you will lead me by the right road
Though I may know nothing about it
Therefore I will trust you always
Though I may seem to be lost in the shadow of death
I will not fear, for you are ever with me
And I know you will not leave me to face my perils alone.

we are nothing but clay,
